Vocable’s social media integration feature allows you to connect your LinkedIn and X accounts quickly. Once connected, you can easily publish and schedule posts across different channels without leaving the Vocable interface. This guide walks you step-by-step through the process for both LinkedIn and X, plus tips and best practices to ensure smooth operation.

Before You Begin

  1. Have your login credentials ready: Make sure you know the username and password for the social network you want to integrate (LinkedIn or X).
  2. Ensure you have the right page or profile access: If you’re connecting a LinkedIn Organization page or a specific X handle, confirm you have sufficient privileges or administrative access.
  3. Check any corporate policies: If you’re connecting corporate social media pages, verify that your organization allows third-party integrations with platforms like Vocable.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Navigate to the Integrations Tab

  1. Log in to your Vocable account.
  2. Look for the Integrations tab in the main menu or settings area.
  3. Click on the Integrations tab to open the integrations dashboard, where all your available channel options and connected accounts will be displayed.

2. Add a New Integration

  1. Within the integrations dashboard, locate the (+) sign at the bottom-right corner.
  2. Click on this + button to initiate adding a new social channel.

3. Connect Your LinkedIn Profile or Page

Pick the type of page

  1. A list of available social platforms will appear. Click on the LinkedIn logo to start linking a LinkedIn account.
  2. Choose your page type:
    • Profile: Use this if you want to connect your personal LinkedIn profile.
    • Organizations: Select this if you’re connecting to a LinkedIn company page.
  3. Enter your LinkedIn login credentials when prompted. Input your username (email or phone) and password as you would normally when logging into LinkedIn.
  4. Click Sign In to proceed.
  5. Authorize the connection by selecting “Allow” or “Authorize.” This grants Vocable the necessary permissions to post on your behalf.
  6. A confirmation message will appear once Vocable successfully connects to your LinkedIn account.
  7. Verify the connection:
    • Return to the Integrations dashboard.
    • You should now see your LinkedIn account listed as “Active.”
    • You’re ready to create and schedule posts for LinkedIn using Vocable.

4. Connect Your X Profile

  1. If you’d like to integrate X (formerly Twitter), head back to your Integrations dashboard.
  2. Select the (+) sign again at the bottom-right to add another channel.
  3. From the list of supported platforms, click on the X logo.
  4. When prompted, enter your X login details (username/email and password).
  5. Click Authorize app (the wording may vary slightly). This confirms that Vocable can post updates and manage content for that X handle.
  6. Verify the X connection:
    • Back in the Integrations dashboard, you’ll see X listed as “Active” once authorized.
    • Vocable can now publish posts to your X account whenever you’re ready.

Your X Channel is now integrated

5. Managing Multiple Integrations

  • Repeat the same steps if you need to add multiple LinkedIn pages or multiple X handles.
  • Each integration will appear separately in your Integrations dashboard, showing its status (active or inactive).
  • You can disable or remove integrations anytime by selecting the channel and clicking an “Unlink” or “Remove” button, depending on the interface.

Best Practices & Tips

  1. Use Descriptive Labels
If you plan to connect multiple LinkedIn or X accounts (e.g., different client pages, personal vs. corporate profiles), it helps to label them clearly. Some users rename the account in Vocable so they can easily distinguish which channel to post on.

  2. Check Permissions
Make sure you have permission to post on behalf of any organization or brand pages you connect. If you are an agency, verify that you have the correct level of admin or editor permissions.

  3. Keep Credentials Secure
Never share your login details with untrusted sources. Once integrated, Vocable will handle authentication automatically, so you won’t need to enter credentials every time you schedule or publish a post.

  4. Watch Out for Notifications
LinkedIn and X might send you email notifications when a new app connects to your profile. This is normal for security. If you get these notifications, confirm that the request was indeed from your Vocable integration setup.

  5. Monitor Post Performance
After you publish a post via Vocable, track engagement and interactions on your LinkedIn and X channels. Vocable may also provide analytics or reporting tools that can help gauge post performance, ensuring that your social media strategy is effective.

  6. Regularly Update Your Credentials
If you change your password on LinkedIn or X for any reason, recheck the integration in Vocable. You may need to reauthorize the connection to maintain uninterrupted access.

Troubleshooting

  • Integration Fails to Connect

    • Double-check your login credentials for typos or errors.
    • Ensure you haven’t exceeded any LinkedIn or X login attempt limits.
    • Disable pop-up blockers if the authorization window doesn’t appear.
  • Unable to Post

    • Confirm the channel is marked as “Active” under Integrations.
    • Verify that you have stable internet and no firewall restrictions are blocking Vocable.
    • Log out and back into Vocable, or clear your browser cache and retry.
  • Authorization Errors

    • You may need to allow cookies and pop-ups to complete OAuth authentications.
    • Sometimes, social networks temporarily suspend third-party integrations if they detect unusual activity. Check your email or social account’s notifications for any alerts.

Next Steps

  • Plan Your Posting Strategy
With LinkedIn and X integrated, you can now create and schedule posts directly from Vocable. Explore how to best time your postings or schedule them in advance for maximum visibility.

  • Expand to Other Platforms
Vocable may support additional social networks, such as Facebook, Instagram, or YouTube. Check your Integrations tab to see what else is available.

  • Collaborate with Your Team
If multiple people in your organization will post on behalf of your brand, consider setting up multiple user accounts within Vocable or connecting multiple profiles for different campaigns.

Integrating your LinkedIn and X profiles into Vocable is a straightforward process that streamlines how you publish and manage content. By consolidating all of your social media channels within one platform, you save time and ensure consistent branding across networks. If you follow the steps above and keep in mind the best practices, you’ll be well on your way to a hassle-free social media management experience.
